As we were driving through Alpharetta yesterday afternoon we experienced a freak storm.  Lights were out, lighting was everywhere, and rain fell hard.  We have calls coming in from homeowners looking for leak repairs and help because tree limbs feel on the roof and caused damage.

Rarely do we experience hail storms during this time of year but we have reports of hail 1 1/2 inch in diameter in Alpharetta around the corner of Cumming St. and Hwy 9 N. Main St.  If you live in this area you may be subject to a new roof.  Parts of Johns Creek, Duluth, and Lawrenceville were also in this storm where hail was reported.

Remember, don’t do an estimate with a company if they try to charge you to come out and don’t sign anything until you choose what company you are going with.

Today is a Thursday but feels like a Monday.  This is the beginning of our marketing campaign for “Roofing Alpharetta” and “Alpharetta Roofing“.  Its going well!  We came up on the first page day one for our desired search keyword.  We have recently found out about a competitor that went out of business that we could possibly work with to get business from their previous clients.  McAllister just got back from a mission trip from South America.  We are glad to have him back.  I explained the opportunities available to us recently and he is excited.  Business is steady but slower than we would like.  We are doing an estimate on a commercial job right now that is due on Friday.  We are pretty fair with our prices so if everything checks out we should get the job.

We received a testimony on Kudzu recently and it was 5 stars.  Thank you Angie!  We are about to start pushing our Facebook campaign again pretty hard.  I am trying to figure out what gifts to give away.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

We have recently finished a roof and the client is well pleased.  We are working with the insurance companies to collect.  They are very difficult and as a business owner really frustrating to deal with.  For instance, Angies roof took us over a month after completion to get paid from the insurance.  This is typical in most cases.  Its hard because in times like these the quicker you can get paid the better.  Families of our roofers are counting on that money.

Roofing term of the week….

“Roof Hip” A change in roof directions where two planes meet at an angle to make a vertical ridge or fold.  This is the opposite of a valley.
